Segunda adaptacao do livro de Charles Portis, desta feita pelos irmaos Coen.

A história é protagonizada por Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld), uma miúda de 14 anos que procura vingar a morte do pai. Para isso, vai contar com a ajuda de Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges) e do ranger LaBoeuf (Matt Damon).

Devo dizer que o género nao me cativa particularmente e, por isso, este filme soube-me a pouco. É escusado dizer que os diálogos sao muito bons, que o Jeff Bridges é fantástico e que o resto dos actores estao à altura. Também é escusado dizer que há pormenores realmente bons no filme e que reflectem bem o estilo dos manos. Mas continua a saber-me a pouco...

Ora atão como é k se faz uma destas cenas de posts sobre filmes sem ser um spoiler???

Na faço ideia, por isso cá fica o aviso :D

Filme lento, relativamente longo, que me sacou uns sorrisos e acho k uma vez uma gargalhada ténue! :D

Mas tb acho k não será esse o que é pretendido neste filme, não sei se isto será uma comédia romântica, ou uma espécie de soft drama de fds!

Não sou grande cinéfilo e não me perguntem como estava a fotografia, dá para passar 1h40m, mas deixou-me assim como que a pensar..... falta aqui alguma coisa! e não me refiro ao Rambo a sacar da sua M60 e começar a matar os comunistas invasores do afeganistão!!

Acho que a história se desenrola bem e nem sempre aquele instinto de isto vai acontecer se torna realidade, (o que só abona a favor!!), mas quem já viu o trailer, de certeza imagina o desenrolar dos acontecimentos a maioria das vezes!!

Ultimamente tenho conhecido cada vez mais homofóbicos... ou então estão-se a assumir como tal e já não têm vergonha de dizer o que pensam, e pior, de passar essas ideias às futuras gerações... que ARGH!!!!! Tamanha ignorância!

Este puto (Chris Colfer) além de cantar bem, e de nos divertir imenso na série, tem tido cada vez um papel mais importante na vida dos putos que por aí há! Há pouco vi uma entrevista em que ele dizia que recebia muitas cartas e mails de miúdos com problemas semelhantes na escola aos do seu personagem Kurt. Também elogiam a relação de abertura que o personagem vai tendo com o pai.

Adorei, adorei, adorei vê-lo ganhar este merecido globo de ouro!
A carinha de espanto, seguida de "manter a compostura!" :D

Um filme de Darren Aronofsky (“Requiem for a Dream”; “The Wrestler”) que foi nomeado em 12 categorias, pelos Critics’ Choice Awards, entre elas “Melhor Filme”, “Melhor Actriz” (Natalie Portman), “Melhor Argumento” e “Melhor Realizador”, coloca este filme como o mais nomeado de sempre, o resultado esse, vamos ver em Fevereiro de 2011.

Conta-nos a estória de uma bailarina, de uma importante companhia de Ballet, obcecada com a perfeição, que enfrenta o desafio de protagonizar uma nova encenação da obra Lago dos Cisnes sob a pressão de uma mãe controladora (Barbara Hershey) e pela ameaça de uma bailarina mais jovem (Mila Kunis).

Um filme lindíssimo, intenso, com EXCELENTE interpretação de Natalie Portman e que conta ainda com Vincent Cassel e Winona Ryder.

Vale muitíssimo ver!

Wenders hails 3D as 'ideal tool' for documentaries

German director Wim Wenders has finished shooting a 3D film about legendary choreographer Pina Bausch and he has hailed the reborn format as "an ideal tool for documentary makers".
"I finished shooting now and I am in the middle of editing. It will be a long process. It is such a new thing to do a documentary in 3D", Wenders told AFP in an interview during the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF) in the Romanian city of Cluj.
However the film will not be ready before next year, he said.
Wenders, the maker of "Paris, Texas" (1984) and "Buena Vista Social Club" (1999), a tribute to Cuban musicians, had wanted to make a film with Pina Bausch for 20 years.
"The concept of the film was that Pina herself was leading us to her world. It was conceived as a road movie where I would accompany her to Brazil, Turkey and other countries," he added.
But the unexpected death of the grande dame of modern choreography at the age of 68 in June last year tragically ended those plans.
"Pina passed away a month before we were supposed to begin shooting. I did not see the point anymore. Only after a while did we realize together with her ensemble, the Tanztheather in the German town of Wuppertal, that we owed it to Pina to do it anyway," Wenders explained.
The filmmaker then decided to "concentrate on the dancers, her instruments" on and off stage.
"It had to become a film about the work. It is a very very different thing from what we would have done together."
To represent Bausch's art in the best possible way, Wenders saw no other option than to use 3D because it allowed him to deal with the notion of space, crucial to the late choreographer.
But he had to wait for the technology "to be able to deal with real life graciously, to represent it as fluently" as it would do for animated characters, he said.
Shooting a documentary in 3D was not easy: "You have to forget everything you know about filmmaking. Because you have to organize the shots and the whole process in a very different way".
Wenders was assisted by a French camera crew for the job.
He says he sees great future for 3D documentaries.
"3D only appeared for most of us in the form of animation movies and big spectacular movies. In the future, it will be the ideal tool for documentary filmmakers," Wenders said.
He believes that 3D could have the same effect as digital technology had 15 years ago when it breathed new life into the documentary genre.
"I think that 3D will do the same. In the future, every documentary will be shot that way."

Para quem nao conhece, Banksy, é a mais recente e maior estrela d street art d mundo, mas cuja verdadeira identidade é desconhecida! Nao é facil, para quem dirige e aparece e supostamente é o objecto deste documentario!

O documentario segue um excentrico francês "video film maker" q passa a vida a filmar todos os grafitti artists q pode. Isso inclui conhecer e tornar-se amigo d Banksy. Tal contece, mas depois, Banksy lança um desafio ao amigo p passar ele a filmar e o francês ser street-artist.

Isso acontece, ele cria o Mr. Brainwash, mas aviso-vos, os resultados sao mt inesperados!!

Avisam-se já os incautos, que isto nao é um documentario "normal".

O espectador questiona-se se o q está a ver é ou nao real, se é encenado ou uma mistura dos dois.

Mas nao é parvo. LONGE DISSO! tem um proposito brutal. Este documentario é p questionar as pedras basilares : da arte, do efeito celebridade e no fundo um reflexo d nossa sociedade ceptica (ou nao) actual.

que tem uma doença chamada “teta assustada”, que se transmite , segundo a crença indígena local, pelo leite materno de mulheres violadas durante a guerra terrorista do Peru.

Um filme sobre medos, questões como o isolamento, a incompreensão, o paralelismo da vida dos índios pobres e dos brancos ricos, que habitam mundos distintos, cultural, económica e fisicamente. O pesado portão da mansão da pianista nada mais é do que outra metáfora desta separação e desconfiança mútua.

Um filme interessante.

The Town

Acho que o mais espetacular nisto tudo, foi mesmo o facto de eu ter ido ao cinema com o meu gajo :DDDD
Ok, fora de brincadeiras. Gostámos, muito tiro, muita porrada, uma história de gangues de assaltantes mega-pros que têm um fascínio pelos bancos e carrinhas de valores.
Só no fim soube que foi realizado pelo Ben Afleck, e acho que se saiu bem, o filme é porreiro, tem bons planos e a história é boa(zita). Assemelha-se, na minha opinião ao The Departed, mas as histórias são diferentes, talvez seja pelo enredo romanceado lá pelo meio. Curti a namorada/gaja prusti, estava credível.

Boardwalk Empire

A nova série criada por Terence Winter ( Família Soprano), produzida por Martin Scorsese , Mark Wahlberg e Stephen Levinson.

Vi o primeiro episódio dos 13 que a série tem, este ,realizado pelo mestre Scorsese , muito bom em nada me decepcionou.

série de época , a acção desenrrola-se em 1920 nos EUA, na altura da lei seca, isto é, quando se tornou proibido vender álcool no país.

Uma série que mais parece um filme bom, excelentes interpretações, destaco o actor Steve Buscemi,excelente fotografia, excelente história.

Série para ver e acompanhar.

Thick as Thieves

Keith Ripley (Morgan Freeman), um conceituado ladrão de arte, procura um parceiro para roubar dois ovos Fabergé. Gabriel (Antonio Banderas) acaba por ser esse parceiro.

Pelo meio, há peripécias com a máfia Russa, o Banderas envolve-se com a afilhada do Morgan Freeman (Radha Mitchell) e... Pronto, mais nada.

O enredo é pobre e previsível, os diálogos são péssimos e as cenas entre o Banderas e a Mitchell são manhosas e forçadas.

Não percebo como é que o Morgan Freeman aceitou este papel... E o Banderas está mais nojento que nunca!

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Este filme é um mind twister. Muito louco! Bem ao estilo de Terry Gilliam.

Dr. Parnassus (Christopher Plummer) é uma espécie de caixeiro-viajante do espectáculo. Numa Londres muito underground, oferece às pessoas a possibilidade de entrar num mundo imaginário, onde finalmente, uma escolha tem de ser feita. Parnassus é acompanhado pela filha (Lily Cole), por um anao sabichao (Verne Troyer) e por um assistente (Andrew Garfield). Num acaso do destino, Tony (Heath Ledger) junta-se a eles.

Durante o desenrolar da história, percebemos que Parnassus fez diversos acordos com o Diabo (óptima performance de Tom Waits), em troca de imortalidade. Mas para o Diabo, estes acordos sao, acima de tudo, divertimentos. Daí a perpetuacao de acordos / apostas entre as duas personagens.

De realcar que Heath Ledger faleceu antes de o filme estar concluído. Gilliam teve de recorrer a uma solucao alternativa (bastante engenhosa e que resulta muito bem, a meu ver) para poder concluir o projecto: Johnny Depp, Jude Law, e Colin Farrell.

Definitely, Maybe

Após uma aula de educacao sexual, Maya Hayes (Abigail Breslin) pede ao pai, Will Hayes (Ryan Reynolds), que lhe conte como conheceu e se apaixonou pela mae. O objectivo final de Maya é evitar o processo de divórcio dos pais.

Will decide contar a história dos 3 relacionamentos importantes que teve, usando nomes falsos, para que Maya adivinhe qual das 3 mulheres é a mae dela.

É muito engracado ver as reaccoes de uma crianca ao relato da vida amorosa de um adulto. A certa altura, Maya percebe que as coisas sao muito mais complexas do que se possa imaginar. Mas também acaba por dar uma licao ao pai :-)

Acho que o filme está muito bem conseguido. É uma comédia romântica, com umas pinceladas de drama pelo meio e vê-se muito bem. Nao é nenhuma obra prima, claro está, mas foi uma boa surpresa.

O melhor do filme é sem dúvida a Abigail Breslin. Espectacular, a miúda!
